World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2009 will be marked in commemoration of the founding of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). The theme of the Day this year will be “Connecting Persons with Disabilities: ICT Opportunities for All” to address the special requirements of persons with disabilities and older people among other marginalized and vulnerable groups.
