a Cultural Look to teleCentre
how can we develop a telecentre (with selected criteria) as a Cultural Centre in each rural area. it will be helpful to telecentre to reach villagers than we hope and by that tco s will get opportunities to solve many problems regarding centre (also attitudes of people) .......... ????? ..........

I completely agree with Niranjan, culture is the key attractor for rural communities because of it's role in ''the history of the people''. It's normally said that to understand a basket, dance, song, ritual, or story, one must know about the maker, dancer, singer, practitioner, or teller. Telecentres must therefore understand the culture setting of the communities in which they operate to bring about desirable and valuable impact.

Over 40% of Telecenters of Sri Lanka are located in Temples,
In my observation they are the one's who social purpose of Telecenters
Local Language technologies, content and communications is an enabler for cultural integration of different people using Telecenters.
