The
Telecentre Times is a newspaper that reports on the people, ideas, and activities that fuel the global telecentre movement, focusing on practical topics and day-to-day issues facing telecentre managers. The
Times is published regularly by
telecentre.org partners in English (
UgaBYTES), French (
Afriklinks),
Bangla (
Bangladesh Telecentre Network) and Arabic (
Egypt ICT Trust Fund). We are currently working on a Spanish edition.
telecentre.org's
Knowledge Sharing initiative supports the
Telecentre Times as a way to connect communities and reach telecentre managers with limited or no connectivity. Practitioners and activists from around the world contribute to the various editions — offering solutions to common technical problems, reporting on new technology (or clever ways to use “old” technology), summarizing e-mail discussions, and describing projects and initiatives.
For an in-depth review and analysis of the role of public access to technology, see the
Telecentre Magazine.
