telecentre.org

The Telecentre Times is a newspaper that reports on the people, ideas, and activities that fuel the global telecentre movement, focusing on practical topics and day-to-day issues facing telecentre managers. The Times is published regularly by telecentre.org partners in English (UgaBYTES), French (Afriklinks), Bangla (Bangladesh Telecentre Network) and Arabic (Egypt ICT Trust Fund). We are currently working on a Spanish edition.

telecentre.org's Knowledge Sharing initiative supports the Telecentre Times as a way to connect communities and reach telecentre managers with limited or no connectivity. Practitioners and activists from around the world contribute to the various editions — offering solutions to common technical problems, reporting on new technology (or clever ways to use “old” technology), summarizing e-mail discussions, and describing projects and initiatives.

For an in-depth review and analysis of the role of public access to technology, see the Telecentre Magazine.
