I would also like to know if ning offers rating functionality - when a tag cloud is created it relies on ratings, I have not seen ratings next to blogs, comments nor posts. can it be added?

Hi there Fascinating collaboration between different sectors - I think such collaboration will ultimately supply sollutions for more than disabled communities. A model to follow in my books. Are you aware of a similar project in Sub Saharan Africa?…

Dear Marlene,

I love the open communication that the comments afford. oneVillage Foundation in 2007 launched the building of Open Digital Villages(ODIVs) at all of its 4 operational countries. These ODiVs are just like telecentres but a quite unique. We refer also to them as 'Unity Centers'. The first ODiV has been established by oneVillage Foundation Ghana at Winneba, Ghana known as the Winneba Open Digital Village(WODiV). This village has offices that houses oneVillage Foundation in Ghana. It also has Training Rooms, a Conference room, an Internet Business Solution Unit(Internet, computer repairs, scanning, printing), a base station that monitors our WODiVNet Community Wireless Network in Winneba. The goal is to build a sustainable model that can be replicated in other parts of Ghana and Africa.

It will interest you to know that WODiV has served as a center to host both national and international capacity building workshops and conferences. Please see our capacity building website at http://www.simpasummits.net/
Also see the link to our photo blog exclusively on WODiV at:

Also all oneVillage Foundation program photos in collections:

Also feel free to check out the parent website at www.onevillagefoundation.org.

We are also actively engaged in ICT research and currently working on two research projects: Wireless Africa(Coordinated by MERAKA Institute, SA) and Digital World Forum.

Thanks a lot and hope we can contribute together in bridging the digital divide.

Best,
Jacob
