يخشى معظمنا خسارة جميع بياناتهم، حتى في حال تجهيز نسخ احتياطية منها, لأن الحماية الحقيقية للبيانات لا تأتي فقط من إعداد نسخ متعددة من الملفات القيمة، ولكن أيضا من إبقاء النسخ الاحتياطية من الملفات التي لا يمكن استبدالها في موقع آخر.
لكن القليل منا يتمتع بحس أمني عال، وبالتالي فإن تعرضه لعملية سرقة واحدة أو حريق أو أي كارثة أخرى يمكن أن ينجم عنها خسارة أبدية لملفات جرى تجميعها على مدار سنين، سواء تلك المخزنة على الحاسبات الإلكترونية أو ف… Continue

الذكرى العشرون لاختراع الشبكة العالمية للإنترنت
حلت أمس الجمعة الذكرى العشرون لاختراع الشبكة العالمية للإنترنت, فقد رأى "WEB" -أو الموقع كما ترجم إلى العربية- النور في مثل هذا اليوم من عام 1989 في مرصد للفيزياء النووية تابع للمنظمة الأوروبية للأبحاث النووية بجنيف.
وكان المهندس البريطاني تيم برناردز لي يعمل على استنباط تكنولوجيا لتسهيل التواصل بين العلماء. ولم يكن يعلم أن اختراعه كان بمثابة ثورة في عالم الاتصال.
وفي هذه الذكرى التي غيرت وجه العالم حذر برناردز لي -مهندس البرمجيات البريطاني والأستاذ حاليا بمعهد ماساتشوستس للتكنولوجيا بالولايات ا… Continue

Ofok is dedicated to bring IT literacy to as many people as possible. We are therefore offering basic IT courses from well-known companies such as Cisco Systems and Sun Microsystems completely free. That’s right! Students will be taught by an instructor for free, and gain access to the online curriculum for free. Additionally, there will be a discount for exams… And anyone can partake in this endeavor!
