Are we eating unnecessary Bandwidth ?

I was thinking late one night, when uploading a video to Facebook, and seeing my 300+ friends on the list.
What if all my firends, and friends of my friends, and friends of their friends.....upload videos? Well, that is exactly what is happening, though we give very limited attention to Facebook, Youtube etc.
And to think that many of my peers are downloading movies everyday ! makes us to think are we been rude to this wonderful commodity > bandwidth. Everybody has to share what is available.… Continue

From eASIA 2008: e-Health - The need for innovation

In the plenary address at the first day Inaugural Session, Karl Brown, Associate Director - Applied Technology, Rockefeller Foundation, USA, speaked on "why eHealth is important in the twenty first century".

He went on highlighting the difference between the geographical map and the knowldge map of the world. In the knowledge map, the worl… Continue

It was very enthrolling to see 190 + participants at weCAN, were mingling with each other to find solutions to their day to day problems. At the start everybody thought the solutions are lying with in the panel of 14 resource persons. But as the first day came to a closer telecentre family staff and resource persons were able to dig and show telecentre operators, " if you want to be social entrepreneurs, be the first to understand your self ". Because in a workshop, we are trying to find solutio… Continue

Dear Isura Silva
As I am new with telecentre and with you. Do you pls give me some clear information or activities of telecentre/call centre working in Sri Lanka for agriculture development. Do you have any farmer call centre which can help the farmers to have direct linkage with extension people?
