World Bank to Invest $215 Million to Boost Internet in Africa

The World Bank says it will spend $215 million to help central African countries provide better quality and more affordable high-speed Internet service. The bank noted that the funds will be used to build a broadband Internet infrastructure in 11 African countries. Google Trader, now on the Web in Uganda

Study: Ethiopia only sub-Sahara Africa nation that filters the Net

Africa's SEACOM cable goes live

SEACOM sercive date postponed to 23rd July 2009

The increase in pirate activity during April and May 2009, both in terms of intensity and geographical coverage, necessitated a change in SEACOM’s cable installation plans which resulted in a delay in the ready for service date from 27 June 2009 to 23 July 2009.
