Connect to global initiatives: Create a strong presence on telecentre.org

Make sure your network is prominent in the global sphere, especially important if you want to reach international supporters. For telecentre networks this is easy to do:

• Create a profile page on telecentre.org with feeds and links to your website — and help your members to the same
• Provide network RSS feeds to a telecentre.org Community Facilitator so that they can promote your content
• Add your best content to telecentre.org: blogs, photos, videos, publications (can be attached to blog posts, discussions, or comments)
• Offer to lead discussions — this is a great way to get global visibility
• Leave comments for other members
• Post your events
• Contribute publications and resources to the Library
• Send an email to your members inviting them to join telecentre.org, followed by periodic reminders and support
• Monitor telecentre.org for content to post to your website, email group, or newsletter
• Display the telecentre.org logo on your website as a sign of quality and participation in the global telecentre movement
• Incorporate communications and sharing sessions into network gatherings
• Enthusiastically practice and promote live conference blogging and multimedia documentation

Make sure that your network’s Community Facilitator participates in the global community. They are your ambassador and your best way to achieve broad visibility. They are also critical to increasing your network’s access to valuable learning and resources from other communities.
